Description

Prostate neoplasm is a common form of cancer affecting about 1 in 5 men. Normal as well as malignant prostate tissues rely on the action of androgen hormones for growth and proliferation. Testosterone, the main androgen, is primarily synthesized in the testes; others are synthesized in the adrenal gland and can be converted to testosterone in peripheral tissues.
